PFL hasn't sent forms since April application - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with PFL. I applied back in April and still haven't received any forms. It's been over a month now and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm thinking about calling them to make sure they have my correct address and to ask them to resend the forms. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last year. Definitely call them ASAP. Sometimes things get lost in the mail or there's a glitch in their system. When you call, make sure to: • Verify your mailing address • Ask them to resend all forms • Get a confirmation number or the name of the person you spoke with • Ask about any online options for receiving forms Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely do all of that when I call. Fingers crossed it gets sorted out quickly.

This is solid advice. I'd add: write down the date and time of your call too. It helps if you need to follow up later.

Online options? Is that a thing now? Last time I dealt with PFL everything was snail mail 🐌

Yeah, some departments are starting to offer digital options. Worth asking about, even if it's not available yet. Gotta drag them into the 21st century somehow! 😂

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. I was desperate after trying for weeks to get through. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

How long did you have to wait once you used the service?

0 coins

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit by the phone. They called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than wasting a whole day redialing!

have you tried faxing them? sometimes the old school methods work best with these dinosaur agencies lol

OMG I'm in the exact same boat!!! Applied in March and still crickets. This system is so broken 😡

Ugh, that sucks! Have you tried calling them yet?

0 coins

Yeah, but I can never get through. It's like they have one person manning the phones for the whole state 🙄

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling right when they open. I've had better luck that way.

What time do they open? Might have to set an alarm lol

I think it's 8am, but double check on their website. And yeah, set that alarm! Early bird gets the... bureaucrat? 😂

This happened to me too. Turns out they had my address wrong by one number. Took forever to sort out. Make sure you triple check all your info when you talk to them!

anyone else feel like were living in the stone age with all this paper form nonsense? its 2023 ffs, why cant we do this stuff online??

0 coins

Preach! 🙌 I bet the folks running these systems still use flip phones and fax machines

Hey now, don't insult flip phones like that 😂 At least those work reliably!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails end up there. Just a thought!

0 coins

Good idea, but they said they're sending physical forms. I wish it was by email, would make things so much easier!

0 coins

Oops, my bad! Totally missed that part. Yeah, physical mail is the worst for this stuff. Fingers crossed it shows up soon!

KEEP CALLING!!! Don't give up! I had to call like 50 times before I got through, but persistence pays off. You got this! 💪
