PFL application submitted 10+ days ago, no updates or payment. Anyone else experiencing delays?

I applied for Paid Family Leave over 10 days ago and still haven't received any updates or payment. Last time I applied, it only took about 10 days to get paid. Is anyone else experiencing longer wait times? I'm really counting on this money and getting worried. Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least find out what's going on with my application?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Applied 3 weeks ago and crickets 🦗 The system is so broken rn

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Totally legit! I was skeptical too but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny tbh

How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

It took about an hour, but I didn't have to do anything. Just got a call when they had an agent

Here's what I've learned from dealing with PFL multiple times: 1. Be patient. Processing times can vary wildly depending on their workload. 2. Double-check that you submitted all required documents. Missing info can cause major delays. 3. If it's been more than 14 business days, definitely try to contact them. 4. Use their online portal to check your claim status if possible. 5. If you're really in a bind, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. Hang in there! The system is frustrating but you'll get your money eventually.

Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll def check the online portal again. Fingers crossed 🤞

Contacting your rep is lowkey genius. Never thought of that!

Pro tip: if you fax your docs instead of mailing, it can speed things up. Old school but it works!

Anyone else notice that the wait times seem to be longer if you apply online vs paper? Or am I just paranoid?

Nah, I think you're onto something. My paper app went through way faster than my friend's online one 🤔
