EDD Payment Status Check: How to verify releases from May 2023 to now?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to check on the status of my unemployment payments. I need to know if the payments from May 1st, 2025 to now have been released. Has anyone else had to do this recently? Any tips on how to get this information quickly?

I was in the same boat last month. It's frustrating how difficult it can be to get simple information! Have you tried logging into your online account? Sometimes they update the payment status there.

•Yeah, I checked online but it doesn't show anything past 2024. I guess I'll have to call them 😩

•Ugh, calling is THE WORST. Good luck getting through!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have a better chance of getting through.

Wait, payments from 2025? Are you a time traveler or something? 🤔

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep...

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste on hold. For me, it was worth it to get answers quickly.

Here's what you need to do to check your payment status: 1. Log into your UI Online account 2. Go to 'Claim History' 3. Look for payments marked as 'Paid' for the dates you're checking 4. If you don't see what you're looking for, try the 'Payment Activity' section 5. Still no luck? You might need to file a new claim if it's been a while If none of that works, yeah, you'll probably have to call. But try these steps first! It'll save you a headache if you can avoid the phone tree hell.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along with EDD.

idk if this helps but I had a similar issue and it turned out there was a flag on my account for potential identity verification. Might be worth asking about that when you do get through.
