How to check EDD claim status? Stuck and need help!
Hey everyone, I need some help with my unemployment claim. I'm trying to check the status but I'm not sure where to start. Has anyone had experience with this recently? What's the best way to get information about my claim?

I've been there, buddy. The unemployment system can be a real headache. Have you tried logging into your online account? Sometimes they update the status there.

•Yeah, I tried that but it's not showing any updates. It's been like this for weeks now 😫

•Ugh, classic EDD. Their online system is about as useful as a chocolate teapot sometimes 🙄

•True that. Maybe try giving them a call? I know it's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through to an agent in about an hour.

•$20 tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Spent way more than that in time and frustration trying to get through on my own.

Have you tried contacting your local assemblymember or state senator? Sometimes they can help push things along with EDD.

OMG the EDD is such a joke. I've been waiting for 3 months to get my claim sorted out. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it 🤡

•3 months? Amateur hour. Try 6 months and counting 😭

•Oof, I stand corrected. We're all in the same leaky boat I guess 🚣♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try their social media. Sometimes they respond on Twitter or Facebook. 4. As someone else mentioned, contacting your local rep can help. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a complaint with the state labor board. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!
