EDD claim info - How to check benefit amounts and payment timelines?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get some info about my unemployment claim. Does anyone know how to check benefit amounts or when payments are supposed to come through? I've been waiting forever and can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone. Any tips would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel you. The whole system is a mess rn. Have you tried logging into your online account? Sometimes the info is there, but it can be hard to find.

•Yeah, I've looked online but everything's so confusing. It's like they purposely make it hard to understand 🙄

•Pro tip: call early in the morning, like right when they open. You might have better luck getting through to someone who can actually help.

•Good idea! I've had luck calling right at 8am before. Just be prepared to wait on hold for a while lol

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait after using the service?

•It took about 45 minutes, but I was able to do other stuff while waiting for the call. Way better than being stuck on hold myself!

Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

I've been dealing with this for MONTHS. It's ridiculous how broken the system is. I swear they make it complicated on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. 😤

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and attempts to contact them. 2. Be persistent. Call multiple times if you have to. 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If you get conflicting info from different reps, ask to speak to a supervisor. 5. Consider reaching out to your local assemblymember or state senator for help. 6. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for support and tips. 7. If all else fails, file an appeal or formal complaint. Hope this helps! Good luck navigating the bureaucratic nightmare 🍀

Anyone else notice how the website always seems to crash right when you need it most? 🙃 #EDDfail

Pro tip: if u cant get thru on the main line, try calling the employer line and then ask to be transfered to claims. Worked for me!
