EDD Benefit Payments Delayed and Eligibility Issues - Need Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my benefit payments and eligibility. I've been trying to get information about my existing claim, but I'm not sure what's going on. Has anyone else had trouble with their payments not arriving or questions about their eligibility status? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel you. I've been dealing with this mess for weeks now. Have you tried calling the unemployment office? It's a total nightmare getting through, but it might be your best bet to get some answers.

•Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold yesterday and got disconnected 🤬

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 15 minutes last week!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? No way, that's a scam.

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. You just put in your phone number and pick the department you need. They call you when they get a real person. Totally worth it IMO.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there before sending out notifications. Might be worth a look if you haven't already.

I've been in the same boat. turns out there was a glitch in there system that was affecting a bunch of claims. They fixed it last week, so you might want to check if your payments have been processed now.

•Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely check that out. Did you have to do anything special to get it resolved?

•Nah, it just kinda fixed itself. But if you still have issues, def give em a call.

Listen up, folks. I've been through this rodeo before, so here's what you need to know about benefit payments and eligibility issues: • First, always double-check your online account. Make sure all your info is up to date and accurate. • If you see any discrepancies, report them ASAP through the online portal or by phone. • Keep filing your weekly claims even if you're having issues. This keeps your claim active. • Document everything! Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online interactions. • If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via email or social media. • Check if there are any known system issues or updates on the unemployment office's website or social media. • Sometimes, payments can be delayed due to bank processing times. Give it a few business days before panicking. • If you've exhausted regular benefits, look into extension programs you might be eligible for. • Don't forget about appeal rights if you're found ineligible. You usually have a limited time to file an appeal. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Good luck, everyone!

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they don't want us to get the benefits we're entitled to 🙄

•Conspiracy theory: they make it hard on purpose so people just give up and go back to work

•C'mon guys, it's not that bad. They're just overwhelmed with all the claims.

Hey OP, have you considered reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through when you're stuck in bureaucratic limbo.
