EDD Account Locked Out: Forgot Password & Security Question. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my EDD account. I forgot my password and can't remember the answer to my security question. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to reset everything?

Ugh, been there done that. EDD's system is such a pain sometimes. Have you tried calling their tech support line? They might be able to help you reset everything.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to call but keep getting stuck on hold forever. 😫 Any tricks to get through?

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through then.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Go to the EDD website and click on 'Forgot Password' 2. You'll need to provide your SSN and driver's license/ID number 3. If you can't answer the security question, there should be an option to reset it 4. They'll send a verification code to your email or phone 5. Use that code to set up a new password and security question If that doesn't work, you might need to create a whole new account. It's a hassle, but sometimes it's the only way. Good luck!

lol welcome to the club. EDD's website is like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded while riding a unicycle. 🤡

Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes clearing your cache and cookies can help too. EDD's site can be finicky.

•I haven't tried that yet. Good idea, I'll give it a shot!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was locked out of my account for WEEKS. Had to send in physical mail to verify my identity. It was a nightmare. Hope you have better luck!

I went through this exact same issue last month! What worked for me was going to the EDD office in person with my ID and Social Security card. I know it's a pain, but the staff there were actually really helpful and got me back into my account within about 30 minutes. They can override the security question thing if you have proper ID. Might be worth checking if there's an office near you that's open for walk-ins.

•That's really helpful to know! I didn't even think about going in person. Do you remember if you needed to make an appointment or could you just walk in? And was there much of a wait once you got there?

•@c2d29e938200 This is super helpful! I'm definitely going to look into visiting an office in person. Did they require any other documents besides ID and Social Security card? And do you know if they can help with paid family leave claims specifically, or just general EDD account issues?
