EDD Account Login Issues: Forgot Password for Disability Claim - Help Needed
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into my EDD account. I forgot my password and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else dealt with this? I really need to access my account to check on a disability order. Any advice would be appreciated!

I had the same issue last month. Tried resetting my password but kept getting an error. Ended up having to call them and wait on hold for 3 hours. It was a nightmare.

•Oh no, that sounds awful. Did you eventually get it sorted out?

•Yeah, finally. But it took like a week of back and forth. Make sure you have all your info ready when you call. They'll ask for your SSN, address, and probably some security questions.

No worries, it happens to the best of us! Here's what you need to do: 1. Go to the EDD website 2. Click on 'Forgot Password' 3. Enter your email address 4. Check your email for a reset link 5. Create a new password Make sure you have access to the email associated with your account. If you don't, you might need to call them directly. Good luck!

Anyone else feel like we're living in a dystopian novel? Having to jump through hoops just to access our own information... 🤔

Guys, I found a method to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the URL: https://claimyr.com

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery!

•I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. I'd rather pay $20 than waste a whole day on hold.

Pro tip: use a password manager! I use LastPass and never forget my passwords anymore. It's a lifesaver for all these government sites with their crazy password requirements.

To answer your question, if you're having trouble logging into your EDD account due to a forgotten password, you can follow a few steps. First, visit the EDD website and use the 'Forgot Password' feature to reset it. Make sure you have access to the email address linked to your account, as you will receive a reset link there. If you can't access your email, contacting EDD by phone becomes necessary, though it might involve long wait times. Alternatively, some users have tried services like Claimyr, which reportedly reduce on-hold time, although they do come with a cost. Ensure you read reviews and understand their operations before proceeding. For those keen on avoiding password issues in the future, using a secure password manager might be beneficial. Lastly, consider reaching out to EDD via social media channels like Twitter, which can sometimes offer more prompt responses than traditional methods.

I'm in the same boat, been trying to reset my password for days. This whole system is a joke. Anyone know if there's a class action lawsuit we can join? 🤡

•I haven't heard of any, but it wouldn't surprise me if one pops up eventually.

Unpopular opinion: The system is working exactly as intended. They make it difficult so fewer people claim benefits. Stay woke, people 👀

Hey OP, just a heads up - when you do get through to reset your password, make sure it's super secure. I've heard stories of people's accounts getting hacked. Use a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols!

•This is solid advice. It's also smart to change passwords regularly.

Have you tried contacting them on social media? Sometimes their Twitter support is more responsive than phone or email.

Hey OP, don't forget to check your spam folder for the password reset email. Sometimes they end up there!

•Good reminder! These emails often get filtered incorrectly.

Plot twist: what if OP is actually an EDD employee trying to figure out how to log in to do their job? 🤯

PSA: If anyone else is struggling with EDD issues, there's a great Facebook group called 'EDD Unofficial Help Group' with tons of resources and people sharing their experiences. It's been a lifesaver for me!

I just went through this exact same situation last week! Here's what worked for me: First, try the password reset option on the EDD website, but if that doesn't work (which happened to me), don't panic. I called the EDD technical support line at (833) 978-2511 - it's specifically for account issues, not general claims. The wait was still long (about 2 hours), but shorter than the main line. They were able to unlock my account and help me reset the password over the phone. Make sure you have your Social Security number, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your bank account ready. Also, try calling right when they open at 8 AM - that's when I had the most luck getting through. Good luck with your disability claim! 🤞

•This is super helpful! I didn't know there was a separate technical support line. I've been calling the main number and getting nowhere. Definitely going to try the (833) 978-2511 number first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks for sharing the specific tips about having all the info ready too - that's exactly what I needed to know! 🙏
