EDD Account Login Issues - Can't Access My Account

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my EDD account. I can't seem to log in no matter what I try. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get it working again?

Ugh, I've been there. EDD's website is a nightmare sometimes. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? That worked for me once.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a shot and report back.

Oof, sorry to hear that. Yeah, sometimes calling is the only way 😩

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

Trust me, after spending days trying to get through, $20 felt like a bargain. Time is money, ya know? šŸ’Æ

Here's what I've learned about EDD account issues after dealing with them for months: • First, try accessing your account at off-peak hours (early morning or late night) • Make sure you're using the correct username and password combination • If you've forgotten your password, use the 'Forgot Password' option • Try a different browser or device • Check if your account is locked due to too many failed attempts • Ensure your personal info (SSN, DOB) matches what EDD has on file • If nothing works, you might need to call EDD directly to reset your account Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more info.

Have you checked if there's any scheduled maintenance? Sometimes they do updates and the site goes down for a bit.

Good point, I'll check their Twitter for any announcements.

I swear, dealing with EDD is like trying to sail a boat with no rudder. Always feels like you're just drifting aimlessly 🚢

I had the same issue last week! Turns out my account got temporarily locked after I mistyped my password a few times. I had to wait 24 hours before trying again, then it worked fine. Also, make sure you're using the direct EDD login page and not going through a search engine - sometimes those redirect to outdated login pages. Hope you get it sorted out soon!

Oh wow, I didn't know about the 24-hour lockout thing! That might be exactly what happened to me. I definitely tried my password multiple times yesterday. Thanks for the tip about using the direct login page too - I usually just Google "EDD login" so that could be part of the problem. Really appreciate the help! šŸ™

I went through this exact same nightmare a few months ago! What finally worked for me was a combination of things: first, I made sure to use an incognito/private browser window, then I went directly to the official EDD website (edd.ca.gov) instead of clicking through search results. Also, if you're on mobile, try switching to desktop - their mobile site is even buggier than the regular one. One thing that's not obvious is that if you have any browser extensions running (especially ad blockers or password managers), they can sometimes interfere with the login process. Try disabling them temporarily. And like others mentioned, definitely wait the full 24 hours if you think your account might be locked from too many attempts. The system is frustrating but these steps got me back in. Hang in there! šŸ’Ŗ

This is super helpful! I never thought about browser extensions causing issues. I have like 5 different extensions running including an ad blocker, so that could definitely be the culprit. Going to try the incognito window approach first since that sounds like the easiest fix. Really appreciate you taking the time to write out all these troubleshooting steps! šŸ™
