EDD login error preventing me from applying for SDI - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my EDD account and I'm hoping someone here can help. I can't log in or access my account at all. The worst part is, I need to apply for federal disability insurance, but I can't do that without being able to log in. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any advice on how to fix it? I'm getting really frustrated and don't know what to do next.

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with login problems.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try and see if it helps.

•Clearing cache rarely works for EDD issues. Their system is just a mess 🤦♂️

•True, but it's worth a shot. Better than doing nothing, right? 🤷♀️

I feel your pain, OP. The EDD website is a nightmare. Have you tried using a different browser or device to log in? Sometimes that can make a difference.

Listen up, because I've been through this hell and back. Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Take screenshots of error messages, write down the exact steps you're taking. 2. Try accessing your account at different times of the day. Sometimes the system is less buggy during off-peak hours. 3. Check if there are any known outages or maintenance schedules on the EDD website. 4. If all else fails, you're gonna have to call them. Be prepared for a long wait. 5. When you do get through, ask them to verify your account information. Sometimes there's a mismatch that causes login issues. 6. If they can't help over the phone, request an in-person appointment at a local office. 7. As a last resort, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Good luck, and don't give up. The system is broken, but persistence pays off.

I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep for a phone call...

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Have you checked if your account is locked? Sometimes they lock accounts for security reasons and you need to call to unlock it.

•I didn't even know that was a thing! How would I know if it's locked?

•Usually, you'll get a specific error message about account lockout. But tbh, with EDD, who knows 🤷♂️

Hey, just a heads up - make sure you're using the correct website. There are some phishing sites out there that look like the real EDD site. Double-check the URL!
