EDD login nightmare: ID.me email change impossible, SDI checks MIA since August. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a nightmare with EDD and ID.me. I can't log in online because of ID.me issues. I need to change my email, but it won't let me create a new one since I already have an account. The problem is, I can't access my old email because it was hacked. Now I'm stuck - I haven't received an SDI check since August and I need to sign some forms. Anyone else dealing with this mess? Any advice on how to get through to someone who can actually help?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling the EDD directly? It's a nightmare, but sometimes you can get lucky if you call right when they open.

•I've been trying to call for weeks! It's always busy or I get disconnected. It's so frustrating 😤

•Pro tip: call at exactly 8:01 AM. Thats when the lines open and you might have a chance to get through before everyone else starts calling.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•20 bucks? Thats kinda steep for just a phone call...

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things through faster.

The whole system is broken af. I've been dealing with EDD bs for months now. It's like they want us to give up 🤡

•Guys, lets not assume malice. The systems probably just outdated and overloaded. Still sucks tho

Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Try the ID.me support directly. They might be able to help with the email issue. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try their social media. Sometimes they respond on Twitter. 4. As a last resort, contact your local representatives. They can often cut through the red tape. 5. Keep trying the phone. It's frustrating, but persistence pays off. Hang in there. The system is a mess, but you'll get through eventually!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: check if theres an EDD office near you. Sometimes you can get help in person.

Hey OP, quick question - have you tried using a different browser or clearing your cache? Sometimes ID.me acts up because of browser issues.
