EDD account locked out - never received password reset email for family leave claim. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my EDD account for family leave. I never got an email to reset my password. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get back into my account?

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling their customer service line? It took me forever to get through, but they were able to resend the reset email.

•I've been trying to call for days but no luck getting through. How long did you have to wait on hold?

•Honestly, it was a nightmare. I was on hold for like 3 hours before I finally got someone. But keep trying, its worth it when you finally get through!

•3 hours?! That's insane. The EDD system is such a joke 🤡

Pro tip: Check your spam folder! Sometimes those reset emails end up there. Also, make sure the email address on file with EDD is current.

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It costs $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to make a phone call? That's highway robbery!

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep redialing until they get through?

•From what I understand, they use some kind of automated system to navigate the phone tree and stay on hold. When a real person picks up, it connects to your phone. Beats sitting on hold all day!

Have you tried resetting your password through the EDD website? Sometimes theres a separate 'Forgot Password' link that doesn't require an email to be sent.

•Yeah, I tried that but it still says it'll send an email. Which never arrives 😫

This might sound crazy, but have you tried faxing them? 😂 I know it's 2023, but sometimes these government agencies are stuck in the stone age. Worth a shot if nothing else works!

Here's what worked for me when I had this issue: 1. Double-check the email address on file with EDD. Make sure it's correct and you have access to it. 2. Check all email folders, including spam/junk. 3. If that doesn't work, try to reset your password through the website. 4. If you still don't receive an email, call EDD customer service. 5. Be prepared with your personal info (SSN, address, etc.) when you call. 6. Ask them to verify your email address and resend the password reset link. 7. If all else fails, ask if there's an alternative way to reset your account or if you can create a new one. Hope this helps! The system can be a pain, but don't give up. You'll get it sorted eventually.
