EDD account locked - forgot security question for PFL claim. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my EDD account. I started my paid family leave but now my account is locked because I can't remember my security question. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to get it unlocked without the security question? I'm really stressing about this and could use some advice.

Ugh, been there done that. It's so frustrating when you can't access your own account! Have you tried calling EDD directly? Sometimes they can verify your identity over the phone using other information.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what worked for me: 1. Go to the EDD website and click on "Contact EDD" 2. Choose "Unable to Access UI Online Account" 3. Fill out the form with as much info as possible 4. In the comments, explain that you forgot your security question 5. They should email you within 5-7 business days with instructions It's not instant, but it beats trying to call them endlessly. Hope this helps!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They often have direct lines to EDD and can help expedite these issues.
