Can't reset password for UI account - forgot security question. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my account to file a claim. I can't reset my password because I don't remember my security question. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get around it? I'm getting really frustrated and need to file ASAP.

I found a way to solve account access for filing claims, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONnyJa5oxJA

Ugh, been there done that. It's so annoying when you can't remember those stupid security questions. Have you tried calling their customer service? Sometimes they can verify your identity another way.

Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. Way shorter wait times!

I found a method to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/MCgaMJPY8Us

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of waiting on hold.

$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is it worth it?

For me it was. I had already wasted so much time trying to get through, the $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Have you tried using the 'Forgot Security Question' option? Sometimes they have alternative verification methods like sending a code to your email or phone.

This happened to me last month. I ended up having to go to the office in person with my ID to verify my identity and reset everything. It was a pain, but at least it got resolved.

Oof, I hope it doesn't come to that. The nearest office is like an hour away from me.

The whole system is a joke. They make it so hard to access your own account, it's like they don't want us to file claims. 🙄

Preach! 🙌 It's almost like they're trying to discourage people from claiming benefits they're entitled to.

Guys, lets not assume malice. The systems are just old and outdated. They need a serious tech upgrade.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call the customer service number 2. When you get an agent, explain that you can't reset your password due to forgotten security question 3. Ask if they can verify your identity using alternative methods (email, phone, SSN, etc.) 4. If they can't help over the phone, ask about in-person options 5. Be patient and polite, the agents usually want to help If all else fails, you might need to create a new account, but try the above first. Good luck!

Great advice! I'd add: write down your new security question answers somewhere safe this time 😉

Have you tried contacting them through social media? Sometimes their Twitter support is more responsive than phone.
