EDD Account Access Issues: Can't Log In to File PFL Claim - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my account to file a new claim for paid family leave. I forgot my login info and now I'm stuck. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to recover access or what to do next?

I found a way to solve account access for paid leave, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YZ0jSUfgnw

Ugh, been there done that. The system is such a pain sometimes! Have you tried the 'Forgot Password' option on the login page? That's usually the first step.

•Yeah, I tried that but it's not working for some reason. It's like my account doesn't exist anymore or something 😫

•Sometimes the 'Forgot Password' thing is buggy. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then try again. Worked for me once!

•Thanks, I'll give that a shot! 🤞

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out my account was locked due to too many failed login attempts (wasn't even me!). Had to call them directly to sort it out.

Pro tip: Always keep a physical copy of your login info somewhere safe. Learned that the hard way 🤦♂️

•Or use a password manager! They're lifesavers for keeping track of all those government site logins.

•I use LastPass, but there's also 1Password, Dashlane, and Bitwarden. Most have free options to get started.

Hey guys, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Why should we have to pay extra for basic customer service? 🙄

•I get it, but for me, time is money. Spending $20 to avoid hours on hold was worth it. Plus, I got my issue resolved quickly.

Have you tried contacting them through social media? Sometimes their Twitter support is more responsive than phone or email.

•I didn't even think of that! Do you know their handle?

•It should be @CA_EDD. Good luck!

Here's what I'd recommend based on my experience: 1. Try the 'Forgot Password' option first. If that fails: 2. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again. 3. Check if your account is locked due to too many login attempts. 4. Try accessing from a different device or browser. 5. If all else fails, you'll need to contact them directly. Options include: - Phone (be prepared for long wait times) - Social media (Twitter: @CA_EDD) - Visit a local office if possible Remember to have your personal info ready (SSN, previous address, etc.) as they'll need to verify your identity. For future reference, use a password manager or keep a secure physical record of your login info. And don't forget to update your contact info regularly! Hope this helps, and good luck with your claim!

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to access our own accounts? The system needs a serious overhaul 😤

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or something

•To be fair, they have to balance security with accessibility. But yeah, it could definitely be more user-friendly.

I went through this exact same nightmare about 6 months ago! Here's what finally worked for me: I had to call the technical support line (not the regular claims line) at 1-833-978-2511. They have a separate team that handles just account access issues. The wait was still long, but they were able to reset my account on the spot. Make sure you have your SSN, date of birth, and the email address you originally used to create the account. They might also ask for your previous employer info to verify your identity. Don't give up - it's frustrating but totally solvable! 💪

•Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing this! I had no idea there was a separate technical support line. I've been trying the regular number and getting nowhere. Definitely going to try 1-833-978-2511 tomorrow. Really appreciate you taking the time to share the specific details about what info they need too - that's super helpful! 🙏

•This is exactly what I needed to hear! I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get through on the regular line. Having that specific technical support number and knowing what documents to have ready is a game changer. You just saved me probably hours of frustration. Thank you for being so detailed with your response! 🙌
