Stuck in EDD claim limbo - put on hold forever, rep never came back. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my claim. I filed it a while ago and haven't heard anything back. I tried calling but got put on hold forever and the rep never came back. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to someone?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to talk to a real person. Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that might help.

Tried that. No luck. 😭 It's either busy signals or being on hold for hours. This system is a joke.

Same here. I even set my alarm for 5 minutes before they open. Still nothing. Its like playing the lottery

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning and see if I have any luck. Fingers crossed! 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. How do you know it's legit?

I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. Was desperate and took a chance. Got through in about an hour. Way better than wasting days trying to call myself.

Just tried it. Can confirm it actually works! 💯 Worth the $20 imo

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes they update it there before they actually contact you. Might save you some time on hold.

This whole system is a dumpster fire 🔥 I've been waiting 3 months for an update on my claim. Called 50+ times. Emailed. Nothing. It's like they want us to give up.

Preach! 🙌 I'm convinced they're just hoping we'll all go away if they ignore us long enough.

3 months? Amateur hour. Try 6 months of radio silence. I'm bout ready to camp outside their office

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this mess for months: 1. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 2. Keep a log of all your calls, who you talked to, and what they said. 3. Check your online account regularly for updates. 4. If you can, reach out to your local representative. Sometimes they can help push things along. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to unemployment issues. You might get insider tips. 6. Consider using a call-back service if you're really stuck (like the one mentioned above). 7. Don't give up! It's frustrating, but keep at it. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this sinking ship together. 🚢

This is gold 👌 Thanks for taking the time to write it all out!

Solid advice. Wish I'd known all this when I started this nightmare journey.

Anyone else notice how they always seem to 'lose' our paperwork? I've sent the same forms like 5 times now. Starting to think there's a black hole in their mailroom 🕳️

LOL same. I started taking pictures of everything before I send it. CYA all day everyday

Pro tip: if you get someone on the phone, DO NOT let them put you on hold. I made that mistake and got disconnected after waiting 2 hours. If they say they need to check something, ask if you can stay on the line while they do it.
