How to check claim status? Can't get through to EDD!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to check on the status of my claim but I'm not sure how to go about it. Has anyone had any luck getting through to someone? I've been waiting for what feels like forever and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't even want us to reach them 🙄

Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? I heard thats the best time to get through

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's always busy or I get disconnected 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration

How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to do anything. The service did all the waiting for me

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes that's faster than calling

I've had some success emailing them. It takes a few days to get a response, but at least you don't have to deal with the phone system 💯

Thanks for the tip! What email address did you use?

I used the general inquiries email on their website. Make sure to include your claim number in the subject line!

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local office directly. Sometimes they're easier to reach
