Trouble getting claim update from EDD - Any tips to reach an agent?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on my claim but I'm having trouble reaching someone. Has anyone had any luck getting through to an agent lately? I've been trying for days and I'm starting to get really frustrated. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get an update on my claim for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to reach a human being. Have you tried calling right when they open? That's worked for me in the past.

I tried that too but no luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point 😫

Same here. I've even set alarms for random times during the day to try and catch them off guard. Still nothing.

Yeah, I've tried calling at different times but it's always the same automated message. So frustrating!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. How do you know it's legit?

I get the skepticism, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call and pay. They do all the waiting and then connect you when there's a real person. Super simple.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes they respond faster there. Worth a shot if you haven't already.

I've been in the same boat for months now. It's ridiculous how understaffed they are. I've heard rumors they're hiring more people, but who knows when that'll actually make a difference. 🙄

Months?! That's insane. How are we supposed to survive while waiting for them to get their act together?

ikr? It's a total clown show 🤡 I've been living off savings and it's getting scary tbh

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different numbers if they have multiple lines. 3. Use the online portal to send messages or check for updates. 4. Reach out to your local representative. They sometimes have connections. 5. Join Facebook groups or forums dedicated to claim issues. People share tips and tricks. 6. Consider using a paid service like the one mentioned earlier if you're really desperate. 7. Document everything. Keep a log of your calls, who you spoke to, and what was said. 8. Be polite but firm when you do get through. The person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together. 💪

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they're hoping we'll just go away if they ignore us long enough.

100% agree. It's a war of attrition and they're winning 😡

pro tip: if u get through to someone who cant help, ask them to transfer u instead of hanging up. sometimes u can bypass the wait that way
