EDD Claim Opening: Can't Reach an Agent - Any Tips to Actually Speak with Someone?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to open a claim but I'm having trouble getting through to an agent. I've been trying to call for days but the lines are always busy. Does anyone have any tips on how to actually speak with someone? I really need to get this sorted out ASAP.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's what worked for me: 1. Call exactly at 8:01 AM 2. If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial 3. Keep doing this for about 15-20 minutes 4. If you get through, you'll likely be on hold for 1-2 hours 5. DO NOT HANG UP once you're on hold 6. Have all your info ready when you finally talk to someone It's a pain, but this method got me through after days of trying. Good luck!

Pro tip: if you select the Spanish option, you often get through faster. Most agents are bilingual anyway, so they can help you in English too.
