UI Online password reset impossible - Can't reach EDD to open claim. Help!

I'm trying to open a claim but I can't even get into my UI Online account. I need to reset my password but the system won't let me. Every time I try to call, I just get a busy signal or it hangs up on me. I've been trying for days now and I'm getting really frustrated. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice on how to actually talk to a real person?

I found a way to solve EDD account login issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27tR-yBpQZQ

Ugh, welcome to EDD hell. I swear they make it impossible on purpose. Have you tried calling right when they open? That's how I finally got through after like a week of trying.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck so far. It's driving me crazy!

Same boat here. Been calling non-stop for 3 days straight. This system is a joke 🤡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It costs $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

100% legit. I was skeptical too, but I was desperate. It worked like a charm. Got through to an agent in about 2 hours.

How does it actually work? Do you have to give them your personal info?

0 coins

Nah, you just put in your phone number and they call you when an agent picks up. No personal info needed. It's pretty slick.

Have you tried using the 'Contact Us' form on the EDD website? Sometimes they actually respond to those, believe it or not.

Here's what worked for me to reset my password: 1. Go to UI Online and click 'Forgot Password' 2. Enter your personal info EXACTLY as it appears on your claim 3. If that doesn't work, try using a different browser or clearing your cache 4. If you're still stuck, you might need to verify your identity again. Look for the ID.me option. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details.

Thanks for the detailed steps! I'll give this a try and report back.

This is solid advice. I had to use ID.me to get back into my account last month. It's a pain, but it works.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find my assembly member?

Just google '[your city] assembly member'. Most have forms on their websites specifically for EDD issues. They've been swamped lately, but it's worth a shot!

Call 1-800-300-5616 - Answer No (2) to all answers. You'll get a live person, give them the address you have on file for EDD. Then tell them you need to reset your password - they will email you a link that gets you in. Took me 25 minutes after a week of failed attempts calling the other number.
