Need help getting update on unemployment claim - stuck on hold for days!

Hey everyone, I just filed a claim and I'm trying to get an update on it. Has anyone had any luck getting through to someone on the phone? I've been trying for days and keep getting stuck on hold. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get an update on my claim for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to a human being. 🙄

Same here! It's so frustrating. I've tried calling at different times of the day, but no luck. Anyone know if there's a best time to call?

I heard early morning is best, like right when they open. But tbh, it's still a crapshoot. 🤷‍♂️

I actually found a method that worked for me! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me so much time and headache.

$20 seems steep just to talk to someone... but I guess if it works, it might be worth it. How long did you wait before they connected you?

It took about an hour and a half, but I was able to do other things while waiting instead of being stuck on the phone. For me, it was totally worth it.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes you can get updates there without having to call.

I've been dealing with this for months now. It's ridiculous how hard they make it to get any information. I swear the system is designed to make us give up. 😤

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're hoping we'll just forget about our claims and go away.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Be persistent. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try calling right when they open or just before they close. 3. Have all your info ready when you call - claim number, SSN, etc. 4. Be polite to the rep when you finally get through. They deal with angry people all day. 5. If the online system shows any updates, screenshot everything. 6. Consider reaching out to your local representative if you're really stuck. 7. Join Facebook groups for unemployment support - sometimes they have insider tips. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together. 💪

Don't give up! I know it's tough but keep pushing. You're entitled to that money!

Has anyone tried contacting them through social media? I've heard some people have had luck getting responses that way.

I tried tweeting at them once. They just sent me a link to the FAQ page. 🙄 Useless.

Pro tip: if you have a friend or family member who speaks another language, try calling the non-English line. Sometimes those have shorter wait times.
