EDD: Can't file new claim due to constant disconnects - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble filing a new claim. I've been trying to get through on the phone but keep having technical difficulties and getting disconnected. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to actually get through and file a claim?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20 but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Pro tip: try calling right when they open in the morning. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold that way.

Listen up y'all, here's what you need to do to maximize your chances of getting through: ⢠Call exactly at 8:01 AM when they open ⢠If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial ⢠Keep doing this until you get into the queue ⢠Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long the wait ⢠Have all your info ready - SSN, last employer details, dates, etc. ⢠Be super nice to the rep when you finally get one It's a pain but this method has worked for me and others I know.
