SDI online claim filing error - tried everything, still not working. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble filing a new claim online. Every time I try, it keeps giving me an error message. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get it to work? I've already tried clearing my browser cache and using incognito mode, but no luck so far. It's really frustrating because I need to file this claim ASAP.

Ugh, I feel your pain! The online system is such a nightmare sometimes. Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes that works for me when Chrome acts up.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give Firefox a shot and see if that helps. Fingers crossed 🤞

Good idea! I had to use Microsoft Edge of all things to get mine to work last time. Go figure 🙄

I ran into the same issue last month. It turns out the system was down for maintenance, but they didn't bother to put up a notice or anything. Typical 🙄 Maybe check their Twitter for any announcements?

Have you tried calling them? I know it's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things done with these government agencies.

Ugh, I was hoping to avoid that. Their hold times are insane!

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have to wait a bit, but it's way better than trying midday.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials through the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

idk man, paying to talk to a government agency feels wrong

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me a day of sitting by the phone. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

0 coins

Yeah, basically. They use some kind of automated system to navigate the phone tree and then wait on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone to connect you. Super simple.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with the online claim system for years: 1. Try different browsers - sometimes it's just a compatibility issue. 2. Clear your cache AND cookies, not just cache. 3. Check your internet connection - a weak signal can cause timeouts. 4. Use a desktop if possible, the mobile site is even more buggy. 5. Try early morning or late night when the system is less busy. 6. If all else fails, you might need to file by mail. You can download the form from their website. Hope this helps! Let us know if you get it sorted.

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll work through this list and see if I can get it to work.

This should be pinned somewhere, seriously helpful info 💯

have u checked ur eligibility? sometimes it gives an error if ur not actually eligible for a new claim

0 coins

Yeah, I double-checked and I should be eligible. Good thought though!

This might sound weird, but try using caps lock for your name and address. For some reason, that fixed it for me last time. The system is so janky 🤦‍♂️

Oof, been there done that. Sometimes you just gotta keep trying. It took me like 20 attempts over 3 days before it finally went through. Hang in there!

20 attempts?! That's insane. But thanks for the encouragement, at least I know I'm not alone in this struggle 😅

Plot twist: what if the error IS the system working correctly? 🤔🤡

lmao wouldn't even be surprised at this point
