Error code preventing me from filing SDI claim online - help!

I'm having trouble filing my disability claim online. Every time I try to log in, I get an error code. It's preventing me from submitting my claim. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried using a different browser and clearing my cache, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve disability claim login errors, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_AqNrhWF4Q

Ugh, I've been there. The disability website is a nightmare sometimes. Have you tried calling their tech support line? They might be able to help you troubleshoot the issue.

I tried calling, but I've been on hold for hours. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

Good idea! I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

0 coins

It took about 2 hours, but I was able to do other things instead of being stuck on hold.

Have you tried resetting your password? Sometimes that can fix login issues.

The whole system is broken af 🤡 I've been trying to file for weeks and keep getting different errors. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits smh

Preach! 🙌 The government needs to get its act together.

Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with the disability claim system for months: 1. Try logging in during off-peak hours (early morning or late night). 2. Use a different device if possible (switch from computer to phone or vice versa). 3. Make sure your browser is up to date. 4. Check if you have any pending identity verification steps. 5. If all else fails, you might need to file a paper application. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more info on any of these steps.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll try these steps and report back.

This should be pinned at the top of the subreddit. So helpful!

lol welcome to the club 😂 we're all in the same boat here

Have you checked if theres any scheduled maintenance? Sometimes they do updates and the site goes haywire for a few days.

I didn't think of that! I'll check their Twitter for any announcements.

Ive had success using Internet Explorer (I know, I know) when Chrome and Firefox werent working. Might be worth a shot!

Internet Explorer in 2023? What is this, the stone age? 😂

Hey, don't knock it till you try it! Sometimes old school is the way to go 😎

I had a similar issue last month! What finally worked for me was disabling my ad blocker and any browser extensions, then trying to log in. Apparently some extensions can interfere with the EDD website's functionality. Also, if you're using a VPN, try disconnecting it - I've heard that can cause problems too. Worth a shot before going through the phone call nightmare!

Oh wow, I never thought about browser extensions being the culprit! I do have quite a few running. I'll try disabling them all and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the tip - hopefully this saves me from having to wait on hold for hours! 🤞

I've been dealing with similar login errors for weeks! What worked for me was going to the EDD website and using the "Forgot Password" option even though I knew my password was correct. After resetting it and creating a new one, I was able to log in without any issues. Sometimes their system just gets confused and needs a fresh password to recognize your account properly. Also, try logging in from an incognito/private browser window - that helped clear up some authentication issues I was having. Hope this helps and you can get your claim submitted soon!

This is really helpful advice! I never would have thought to reset my password when I know it's correct, but it makes sense that their system might just need a refresh. I'm definitely going to try the incognito window trick too - sometimes a clean slate is exactly what these government websites need. Thanks for sharing what worked for you!

I ran into this exact same issue a few weeks ago! What finally solved it for me was clearing ALL my browser data (not just cache - I mean cookies, stored passwords, everything) and then restarting my browser completely. Also make sure you're going directly to the official EDD website and not clicking any saved bookmarks, as sometimes those can get corrupted. If you're still having trouble, try using a completely different internet connection - like your phone's hotspot instead of your home WiFi. The EDD system is notoriously finicky, but don't give up! Your claim is too important. Let us know what ends up working for you!

This is super thorough advice! I hadn't thought about using a different internet connection - that's actually brilliant. Sometimes ISPs can have routing issues that cause weird problems with government sites. I'm going to try the complete browser data wipe first since that seems like it might be the nuclear option that actually works. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all these troubleshooting steps! 🙏

I've been fighting with EDD login errors for months now, and here's what finally worked for me after trying everything: First, make sure you're using the exact capitalization for your username that you originally registered with - their system is case-sensitive even though it doesn't tell you. Second, try accessing the site between 11pm-6am when there's less traffic on their servers. Third, and this is the weird one that saved me - if you have two-factor authentication set up, try temporarily disabling it in your account settings (you can call to do this), then log in, then re-enable it. Apparently there's some bug where the 2FA codes don't always sync properly with their database. Also, screenshot any error codes you're getting - the phone reps can actually look those up in their system to see what's specifically failing. Don't give up, the system is broken but there's usually a workaround! 💪

This is incredibly detailed and helpful! The case-sensitive username tip is something I never would have thought of - that's such a sneaky issue that could trip anyone up. I'm especially intrigued by the 2FA bug you mentioned, that sounds like exactly the kind of weird technical glitch that government systems would have. I'm going to try the late-night login strategy first since that seems like the easiest test, and then work my way through your other suggestions. Really appreciate you sharing all these hard-won insights from your months of troubleshooting! 🙌

I've been battling EDD login issues for weeks too! What ended up working for me was a combination of things: First, I switched to using Safari instead of Chrome (apparently some government sites work better with different browsers). Second, I made sure JavaScript was enabled - you can check this in your browser settings under Privacy & Security. Third, and this was the game-changer - I realized I had been typing my username with a capital first letter out of habit, but I originally registered it in all lowercase. Once I used the exact format from when I first created the account, it finally let me in! Also try logging in exactly 5 minutes after the hour - I read somewhere that their servers refresh session data at those intervals. The whole system is a mess but hang in there, you'll get through eventually! 🤞

Thanks for sharing all these specific tips! The Safari vs Chrome thing is really interesting - I've always just assumed all browsers would work the same with government sites, but clearly that's not the case. The username capitalization issue seems to be a common theme in several comments here, so I'm definitely going to double-check exactly how I originally set up my account. The "5 minutes after the hour" tip is fascinating too - if that's really how their system works, it explains so much about why sometimes the same login attempt works and sometimes it doesn't. Going to try these suggestions and hopefully finally get my claim submitted! 🤞

I've been through this exact nightmare! Here's what finally worked for me after weeks of trying: First, make sure you're not using any password managers or autofill - type everything manually. Second, try accessing the site from a library computer or friend's device to rule out any issues with your specific setup. Third, check if you have any pending identity verification requirements in your account - sometimes the system throws generic error codes when it actually needs additional documentation from you. I also discovered that clearing your DNS cache can help (on Windows: open command prompt as admin and type "ipconfig /flushdns"). The EDD system is incredibly temperamental, but don't let it discourage you from getting the benefits you deserve. If nothing else works, consider visiting a local EDD office in person - sometimes that's the only way to get real help with technical issues. Keep us posted on what ends up working! 💪
