EDD Error E 324 when entering driver's license info - Help needed ASAP for disability application!
Hey everyone, I'm having a really frustrating time trying to register for disability benefits online. Every time I get to the part where I need to enter my driver's license info, I keep getting an error message (Error E 324). Has anyone else run into this problem? I've tried clearing my browser cache and using different browsers, but nothing seems to work. I also need to find my previous EDD account numbers for unemployment to complete the paperwork. Any advice on how to get past this roadblock? I need to file for disability ASAP and I'm starting to panic a bit here.

Ugh, I feel your pain! The EDD website is a total nightmare. I had a similar issue when I was trying to file last month. Have you tried using a different device? Sometimes it works better on mobile for some reason.

Error E 324 is usually related to the system not being able to verify your identity. Double-check that all your info matches EXACTLY what's on your driver's license. Even a small typo can cause issues.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•$20 to actually talk to a human? might be worth it at this point lol

Pro tip: If you're having trouble finding your previous EDD account numbers, check your old emails. They usually send confirmation emails with your account info when you first file for unemployment.

Have you tried contacting your local assemblymember's office? They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things through when you're stuck. It's literally their job to help constituents with state agency issues.

•This! 👆 My assemblymember's office was a lifesaver when I was dealing with EDD issues last year.

Okay, let me break this down for you step-by-step: 1. First, make sure all your info is 100% accurate. Double-check everything against your driver's license. 2. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser. 3. If that doesn't work, try a different browser altogether. Some people have success with older versions of Internet Explorer (I know, crazy right?) 4. If you're still getting Error E 324, it might be a system-wide issue. Check the EDD Twitter account for any announcements about website problems. 5. For finding your previous EDD account numbers, check old emails, bank statements (look for EDD deposits), or any paperwork you received when you filed for unemployment. 6. If all else fails, you might need to bite the bullet and try to reach them by phone. The Claimyr service mentioned in another comment could be worth a shot if you're desperate. 7. As a last resort, contact your local assemblymember's office for help. Remember, persistence is key with EDD. Don't give up!

I had the exact same Error E 324 issue a few months ago! What finally worked for me was using an incognito/private browser window AND making sure I was entering my driver's license number without any spaces or dashes. The system is super picky about formatting. Also, try doing it during off-peak hours (like early morning or late evening) when the servers aren't as overloaded. The EDD website tends to glitch out more during busy times. Good luck!

•Thanks for the tip about the formatting! I didn't even think about spaces or dashes - that could totally be the issue. I've been trying during lunch breaks which is probably peak time. Gonna try again tonight with incognito mode and clean formatting. Really appreciate the help!

I've been dealing with EDD issues for months and here's what I learned - Error E 324 is definitely an identity verification problem. Beyond what others have mentioned, make sure your browser allows all cookies from the EDD site. Sometimes their security system blocks the verification process if cookies are restricted. Also, if you have any VPN or ad blockers running, turn them off completely before trying again. The EDD system is super sensitive to anything that might look like you're trying to hide your location or identity. And definitely try the incognito window suggestion - it worked for me when nothing else did. The whole system is a mess but don't give up!

•This is super helpful info about the cookies and VPN stuff! I never would have thought about ad blockers interfering with the verification process. Just turned off my VPN and disabled my ad blocker - gonna try again now. Thanks for sharing what you learned from your experience! 🙏
