EDD: No button to reopen claim online - help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble reopening my claim online. There's no button or option to do it. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any tips on how to get around it?

Ugh, I had the same problem last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried clearing your browser cache? That worked for me.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try. Did you use a specific browser or did it work on any?

I used Chrome, but I think any browser should work. Just make sure to clear everything - cookies, cache, the whole shebang!

The system is such a joke. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. 🙄

Have you tried using a different device? Sometimes the mobile site works better than the desktop version, or vice versa.

That's a good idea, I'll try my phone. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Log out of your account completely 2. Clear your browser cache and cookies 3. Restart your computer 4. Use an incognito/private browsing window 5. Log back in and try again If that doesn't work, try a different browser or device. As a last resort, you might need to call them directly. Hope this helps!

This should be pinned at the top of the subreddit tbh

Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul.

Have you checked if there are any system maintenance or updates going on? Sometimes they take the reopen option offline temporarily.

I had this issue last year. Turns out my claim wasn't actually eligible for reopening and I had to file a new one. Might be worth double-checking your status.

Oh man, I hope that's not the case for me. How did you find out about your eligibility?

I ended up having to call them. It was a pain, but at least I got it sorted out.

I've been dealing with the same issue for weeks! What finally worked for me was calling the 1-833-978-2511 number early in the morning (like 8:01 AM sharp when they open). The wait time was still brutal but I eventually got through to someone who was able to manually reopen my claim. They said there's been a bug in their system affecting the online reopen button. Super annoying but at least there's a workaround!
