TWC online filing error - can't submit unemployment application

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble filing for unemployment online. Every time I try to submit my application, I keep getting an error message. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get through? I'm starting to get really frustrated and worried about missing out on benefits.

I found a way to solve unemployment website application errors, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXbYLlWU_tA

Ugh, I feel your pain! The online system is such a mess rn. I had the same issue last week. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? That worked for me after like 50 attempts 🙄

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a shot. Did you have to start the whole application over again after clearing your cache?

Nah, luckily it saved my progress. Just make sure you're logged out before clearing everything. Good luck! 🍀

The unemployment website is a joke. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from applying. Keep trying tho, don't give up!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The system is broken if we gotta pay just to talk to someone 😤

I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was totally worth it.

Here's what worked for me after dealing with errors for days: 1. Use Chrome or Firefox (avoid Internet Explorer) 2. Try filing late at night or early morning when traffic is lower 3. Don't use autofill - type everything manually 4. If you get an error, wait 30 mins before trying again 5. Double-check all your info before submitting Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP!

Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps. Did you have any issues with the site timing out while you were filling out the application?

Yeah, it timed out on me a couple times. I started copying my answers to a notepad file just in case. Saved me a bunch of headaches!

I heard they just updated the system last week. Might be some bugs they're still working out. Keep an eye on the unemployment office's social media for any announcements about website issues.

Classic government efficiency 🙄 Update the system and break everything in the process.

Ikr? 🤦‍♂️ But at least they're trying to improve... I guess?

Pro tip: Take screenshots of the error messages. If you end up having to call (which you probably will), having those can help the rep understand what's going on faster.

I went through the same nightmare last month! What finally worked for me was using a different device entirely - switched from my phone to my laptop and it went through on the first try. Also, make sure you're not using any VPN or ad blockers as those can interfere with the submission process. The system seems super finicky about browser extensions. If all else fails, try calling the TWC customer service line at 8am sharp when they open - you'll have better luck getting through than later in the day.

@Joy Olmedo This is really helpful! I never thought about browser extensions causing issues. I do have an ad blocker running - I ll'try disabling it and switching to my laptop. Thanks for the tip about calling at 8am too, that makes total sense!
