Need help with SDI pregnancy disability claim - keep getting disconnected!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my pregnancy disability claim and I need some technical support. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone but keep getting disconnected. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to actually reach a human being? I'm starting to get really frustrated and worried about my benefits.

Ugh, I feel your pain! The phone system is a nightmare. I spent hours trying to get through last week. Have you tried calling right when they open? Sometimes that works for me.

•Early morning calls are hit or miss tbh. I've had better luck calling around 2pm 🤷♀️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•How long did it take for them to call you back?

•It took about 3 hours for me, but it beats spending all day hitting redial!

Have you tried using their online portal? Sometimes you can resolve issues there without needing to call.

•I tried, but my specific issue requires talking to someone unfortunately. The online system is so confusing tho!

Here's what worked for me with my pregnancy disability claim: 1. Gather all your documents beforehand (medical records, employment info, etc.) 2. Try calling at off-peak hours (early morning or late afternoon) 3. If you get disconnected, keep calling back 4. Be prepared to explain your situation clearly and concisely 5. Ask for a direct callback number or extension if possible 6. If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local representative's office for help Hang in there! The system is frustrating but don't give up. Your benefits are important.

Have you considered hiring an advocate? They can sometimes navigate the system better and get results faster.

•I hadn't thought of that. Do you know how much they typically charge?

•It varies, but usually a few hundred dollars. Might be worth it if you're really stuck tho.

Pro tip: if you get someone on the line, ask them for their direct extension or a callback number. It's like striking gold!
