EDD Disability Payment Stopped - Need Help Getting Through to a Rep!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my disability payment and I need to talk to someone at EDD. Has anyone had any luck getting through to them lately? I've been trying to call but keep getting put on hold or disconnected. It's so frustrating! Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been trying to get through to EDD for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to a real person. Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that can sometimes work.

•Same here. I've tried calling at different times of the day, but it's always busy or I get disconnected. This system is so broken 😤

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. totally worth the $20 imo

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help push your case through.

I've been dealing with EDD for months now, and here's what I've learned: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Document everything. Keep a log of when you call, who you speak to, and what they say. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible. Sometimes you can resolve issues there without calling. 4. If you do get through, be prepared with all your info and questions. 5. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too. Hope this helps! Hang in there, we're all in the same boat. 🚣♀️

•This is great advice! 👍 Especially about being polite. It's easy to get frustrated, but the person answering didn't create the system.

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try to use the online portal more.

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to discourage us from claiming what we're entitled to.

Hey OP, what specific issue are you having with your disability payment? Sometimes the solution depends on the exact problem.

•I'm not sure exactly. That's why I need to talk to someone. My payments suddenly stopped and I don't know why.

Pro tip: if you do get through, ask for a direct callback number or extension for future reference. Sometimes they'll give you one!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important EDD emails end up there. Just a thought!
