EDD payment issues - need tips on reaching a real person ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EDD payments and I need to talk to someone about it. Has anyone had any luck getting through to a real person lately? I've been trying to call for days but keep getting stuck in the automated system. Any tips or tricks would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone š

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

ā¢Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. Why should we have to pay to talk to EDD?

ā¢I get the skepticism, but it honestly worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth the $20 imo

ā¢Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

ā¢Nah, you just put in your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. No personal EDD info needed

Here's what I've learned from my experience with EDD payments: ⢠Always double-check your claim status online before calling ⢠Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them ⢠If you do get through, ask for a reference number for the call ⢠Be prepared with all your documents and claim info before calling ⢠Stay calm and polite, even if you're frustrated (the person on the other end isn't responsible for the system) ⢠If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist Hope this helps someone! We're all in the same boat here šŖ

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? š¤ It's like they're hoping we'll just stop trying to get our benefits

Pro tip: if you have a complex issue, try contacting your local assembly member's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help escalate your case.

Has anyone had luck with the online contact forms? I've submitted like 5 and haven't heard anything back š¤
