EDD payment issues - stuck on hold forever. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my EDD payments and I'm not sure what to do. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone for ages but keep getting stuck on hold. It's so frustrating! Has anyone else had problems with their payments recently or know how to actually talk to a real person there? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with payment issues for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to reach anyone! Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that can sometimes work.

•Tried that. No luck. It's like playing the lottery, except you never win 🤡

•Same here. I've even set alarms for 7:55 am to be ready. Still nada.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•Can you explain more about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•Sure! Basically, their system calls EDD and navigates the phone tree for you. It waits on hold until a real person picks up, then it calls your phone to connect you. They don't guarantee it'll work every time, but if it doesn't, they give you another try for free.

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there are messages or requests for additional info there that can hold up your payments.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Keep detailed records of all your calls, emails, and account updates. 2. Check your UI Online account daily for new messages or tasks. 3. If you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local EDD office. 4. Use the Ask EDD feature on the website to submit questions. 5. If all else fails, contact your state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but persistence usually pays off eventually.

•This is solid advice. Especially the part about contacting your state rep. They helped me break through the bureaucracy.

Anyone else notice that the EDD website is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄

•LOL yes! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in and decide to do updates 😂

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with payments, make sure you're still certifying for benefits every two weeks. Even if you're not getting paid, keep certifying!

Has anyone tried reaching out to EDD on social media? Sometimes companies are more responsive there cuz it's public.

•I tweeted at them once. They just sent me a link to their FAQ page. Useless. 🤦♂️
