Need help resolving 2 issues on my UC claim - can't reach anyone!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment claim and I'm not sure what to do. I've got two problems that need to be resolved, but I can't seem to get through to anyone on the phone. Has anyone else been in this situation? Any advice on how to actually talk to a real person?

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 I've been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits.

•Seriously! It's like they're playing hide and seek with our money. 🤡

•I know right? I've been calling every day for the past month. It's ridiculous!

•Glad I'm not the only one. This whole system is a joke tbh

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•How long did you have to wait?

•It's totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. I waited about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. When an agent picked up, my phone rang and I was connected.

•$20 seems steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. I was losing way more than $20 by not getting my claim sorted out. Plus, my time is valuable too.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with the unemployment office for the past 3 months: 1. Call right when they open. Like, start dialing at 7:59:59 if they open at 8. 2. If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial. Repeat until you get through. 3. Have all your info ready - claim number, SSN, employment history, etc. 4. Be polite but persistent. The people answering phones are overworked too. 5. If one person can't help, ask to speak to a supervisor. 6. Keep a log of every call - date, time, who you spoke to, what they said. 7. Follow up any phone conversations with an email to create a paper trail. Hope this helps! Good luck!

•Thanks for asking! One issue is that my last employer is disputing my claim, and the other is that I think there's a problem with how they calculated my benefit amount. I'm just not sure how to get these resolved without talking to someone.

•Oof, employer disputes are the worst. Make sure you have all your documentation ready when you do get through!

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤔

•100% this. It's a feature, not a bug.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try their social media. Sometimes they respond faster there.

I heard they just updated their online portal. Has anyone tried that? Maybe you can resolve your issues there without calling?

•LOL good one. That thing is more broken than the phone system.
