TWC Unemployment: Can't get through on phone, need to talk to agent ASAP. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment benefits and I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else been struggling to get through to TWC lately? I've been trying to call them for days but can't seem to get a hold of anyone. Any advice on how to actually talk to a real person there?

I found a way to solve TWC unemployment benefits phone issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr58EHKPLxg

Ugh, I feel your pain. TWC's phone system is a nightmare rn. I spent hours trying to get through last week. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits πŸ™„

For real tho! It's like they purposely make it difficult. I swear the system hangs up on me half the time 😀

Same here. I've been calling non-stop for 3 days straight. This is ridiculous!

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did it take for them to actually connect you with someone?

It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've had some luck getting through if I start dialing at 7:59 AM and keep redialing until I get in the queue.

Pro tip: use the Spanish option even if you don't speak Spanish. The wait times are usually shorter and most agents speak English too. Just be polite about it when they answer.

This is actually genius. Gonna try this tomorrow!

Idk man, seems kinda unfair to people who actually need the Spanish line πŸ€”

Here's what I've learned after dealing with TWC for months: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Try different times. Early morning and late afternoon seem to work best. 3. Have all your info ready when you call. Claim ID, SSN, employment dates, etc. 4. Be nice to the agents when you get through. They're dealing with a lot too. 5. If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor. 6. Keep detailed notes of every call, including date, time, and who you spoke with. 7. Check your TWC account online regularly for updates. 8. Consider reaching out to your state representative if you're really stuck. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. πŸ’ͺ

Anyone else notice that their claim status changed online without any notification? I just checked mine and apparently there was an issue I needed to address, but I never got an email or anything. Make sure yall are checking your accounts regularly!

I'm so fed up with this whole system. Been out of work for 3 months, can't get through to TWC, bills piling up. Anyone know if there's a way to expedite claims for people in dire situations?

Man, I hear ya. It's rough out here. Have you tried reaching out to local charities or churches for temporary assistance?

Thanks for the suggestion. Might have to look into that if things don't improve soon.

I've been dealing with TWC for weeks now and finally got through yesterday! Here's what worked for me: I called the main number (800-939-6631) at exactly 8:00 AM and kept hitting redial every time it said "call volume too high." Took about 45 minutes of constant redialing but I finally got into the queue. Once I was on hold, I waited about 2 hours but actually got a real person who was super helpful. Don't give up! The key is persistence and calling right when they open. Also, make sure you have your claim number, SSN, and recent work history ready to go. Good luck everyone! 🀞

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I've been getting so frustrated with the "call volume too high" message but you're right - persistence is key. Going to set my alarm for 7:55 AM tomorrow and try this approach. Thanks for sharing what actually worked for you! πŸ™
