Locked out of TWC account, can't reach anyone for unemployment claim. Help!
I'm at my wits end trying to file for unemployment. I've tried resetting my login multiple times but still can't get into my account. Every time I call TWC for help, I can't get through to anyone. I'm really worried about losing my home and not being able to feed my family if I don't get this sorted out soon. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to actually talk to a real person there?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The TWC system is a nightmare rn. I was locked out for weeks and couldn't get anyone on the phone. Have you tried using their online chat support? It's not great, but sometimes better than calling.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the online chat but kept getting disconnected. It's so frustrating!

•Online chat is useless imho. I spent 3 hours waiting only to get generic answers that didn't help at all. 🤦♂️

•Damn, sorry to hear that. Guess they've gotten worse since I last tried. This whole system is a joke.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit? Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone we should be able to reach anyway. 😒

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through and sorted out my issue. Worth every penny imo.

•Can you explain more about how it works? Do they give you a specific time when you'll get the call?

•Sure! You choose the department you need to reach, pay, and then they start calling right away. When an agent picks up, they connect the call to your phone. You don't get a specific time, but they keep you updated via text.

Have you tried going to a TWC office in person? I know it's a pain, but sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get things done with these bureaucrats.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire unemployment system. It's ridiculous that people who are already stressed about losing their jobs have to jump through so many hoops just to get the benefits they're entitled to. We should be making this process easier, not harder!

•Preach! 🙌 The system is broken af. We need to vote for people who will actually fix this mess.

•Easier said than done. Politicians only care about this stuff during election season. 🙄

Here's what worked for me after being locked out for over a month: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Use a different browser than you normally do 3. Try logging in during off-peak hours (like really early in the morning) 4. If that doesn't work, request a password reset and wait a full 24 hours before trying again 5. Make sure you're entering your username exactly as it appears on your TWC documents If none of that works, keep calling and trying to get through to a real person. It sucks, but persistence is key. Good luck!

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with the TWC website, try accessing it from a desktop computer instead of your phone. Sometimes the mobile version glitches out.

Has anyone had any luck contacting their state representative about TWC issues? I've heard sometimes they can help push things through.

•I tried this! My rep's office was actually pretty helpful. They couldn't fix everything, but they did get TWC to call me back within a week.

•Which rep did you contact? I'm in Austin and could use some help.

Guys, I know it's frustrating, but please remember the TWC staff are probably overwhelmed too. My cousin works there and says they're understaffed and dealing with way more claims than usual. Doesn't excuse the bad service, but maybe explains it a bit.

•Lol I wish. Just trying to add some perspective. Trust me, I'm just as annoyed with them as everyone else.
