EDD Medical Forms Still Pending After a Week - No Updates
I submitted my medical forms to EDD a week ago, but they still show as pending. I haven't received any confirmation or updates. Has anyone else experienced this? How long does it usually take for them to process these forms? I'm getting worried about the delay.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about an hour.

$20 tho? Thats kinda steep for just a phone call š¬

I get it, but considering how much time I wasted trying to call myself, it was worth it for me. Your mileage may vary š¤·āāļø

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past few months: ā¢ Processing times vary wildly. Some people get updates in a week, others wait months. ā¢ Always keep copies of everything you submit. ā¢ If you don't hear back in 2 weeks, start trying to contact them. ā¢ Use their online portal to send a message - sometimes they respond faster that way. ā¢ If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating but keep at it!

Wow, thanks for the detailed info! I'll definitely try the online portal if I don't hear back soon.

EDD is a joke these days. They're probably using the forms as coffe coasters š¤” But seriously, keep bugging them. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

I'm in the same boat, OP. Submitted my forms 2 weeks ago and radio silence. This whole process is so stressful š«

Has anyone tried faxing their forms instead of mailing? I heard it might be faster but idk if thats just an urban legend

I tried faxing once. Still took forever, but at least I knew they got it š¤·āāļø

Wait, people still use fax machines? What year is it? 1995? š

KEEP CALLING THEM!!! Don't give up! I had to call like 50 times before I got through, but when I did, they fixed my issue right away. Its a pain but worth it.

Plot twist: EDD is actually run by sloths. That's why everything takes so long š¦„š“

Hey now, don't insult sloths like that. They're way more efficient than EDD š
