EDD docs sent last week, no response. Doctor can't access claim. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm freaking out a bit. I sent my documents to EDD last week and haven't heard anything back. My doctor needs to access my claim info but can't find it in the system. I know these things take time, but I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for your docs to be processed?

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been in the same boat. Sent my docs in like 3 weeks ago and still crickets. It's so frustrating!

•3 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

•Yeah, but good luck getting through. I've been calling non-stop and just get the 'too busy' message 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it took almost a month for my docs to be processed. The system is so backed up rn its not even funny. Hang in there!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update stuff there before sending any notifications.

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical too, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in like an hour instead of days of trying.

•$20 tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I mean, yeah it's not cheap, but think about how much time and frustration it saves. Worth it for me 🤷♂️

OK, lemme break it down for y'all. I've been through this rodeo before: 1. First, double-check you sent the docs to the right address/fax/email. You'd be surprised how often that's the issue. 2. If it's been more than 2 weeks, definitely try to contact them. The calling service mentioned above might be worth a shot if you're desperate. 3. Keep checking your online account daily. Sometimes they update it without sending a notification. 4. If your doctor can't find your info, it might not be in the system yet. Ask them to check again in a week. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online check. You might need this later. 6. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes light a fire under EDD's ass. Hang in there, OP. The system sucks, but you'll get through it!

Hey OP, just wondering - did you send your docs via mail or fax or online? I've heard different things about processing times for each method.

•I sent them online through the portal. Thought that would be faster but guess not 😅

•Ah gotcha. Yeah, you'd think online would be quicker. EDD logic tho 🤷♀️
