If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of mailing? I heard it might be faster but idk if that's just an urban legend at this point 🤔

I tried faxing. Still took forever, but at least I knew it got there instantly 🤷‍♀️

Wait, faxing? What year is it? 1995? 😂

I'm in the exact same situation! Sent my docs in mid-February and still nothing. The waiting is killing me because I really need these benefits. I've been checking my UI Online account obsessively but there's been zero updates. Starting to think they just throw these documents in a black hole somewhere 😅 Has anyone had luck with uploading documents online instead of mailing? I'm wondering if I should try that route too just to cover all my bases.

ok but what about the disability?? u said u just went back from SDI? make SURE u report that properly because they will check if the dates overlap and if u mess that up they will come after u for FRAUD. happened to my sister and they made her pay back thousands!!!!!

This is an important point. When filing for unemployment after disability, you need to clearly indicate your SDI end date. There shouldn't be ANY overlap between your final SDI payment and your first unemployment claim week. EDD systems cross-reference this automatically, and any overlap triggers a fraud investigation. Always list your first available-for-work date as the day after your final SDI coverage ended.

I'm going through something similar right now - just started working as an IHSS provider and the whole system is so confusing! Reading through everyone's advice here is really helpful. I had no idea about the Public Authority earnings statements or that you could select "Laid Off" for losing a client. One question - for those of you who've been through this process, how long did it typically take from filing your partial unemployment claim to actually receiving benefits? I'm worried about the gap between losing income and getting any assistance, especially since it sounds like EDD might need multiple follow-ups to get everything sorted correctly. Also, does anyone know if there are any advocacy organizations that help IHSS workers navigate these kinds of benefit issues? It seems like we face unique challenges that the standard EDD system isn't really designed for.

Just wanted to follow up - did you end up submitting your SDI claim? How did it go? I'm curious because the information about how UI penalties affect SDI eligibility seems really mixed based on the responses here. It would be helpful for others to know your outcome.

I submitted my claim yesterday! My doctor had already submitted the medical certification form electronically, so I just had to complete my portion online. The system accepted my claim and gave me a confirmation number, but it says it could take up to 14 days for processing. I made sure to accurately report my UI status. I'll update once I hear something definitive!

Hope your recovery goes smoothly! I went through a similar situation a few months ago - had to switch from UI to SDI after a work injury while I had some compliance issues with my UI claim. The good news is that everyone here giving you reassurance is right - they really are separate systems with different eligibility criteria. One thing that helped me was keeping detailed records of all my communications and submissions. I took screenshots of my online application, saved confirmation emails, and kept copies of all medical paperwork. When I had questions, I found calling first thing in the morning (around 8 AM) gave me the best chance of getting through without waiting hours. Your situation sounds straightforward since you have clear medical documentation for a legitimate medical condition. The fact that you're being proactive and asking questions shows you're handling this the right way. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping your claim processes quickly!

Classic EDD nonsense 🙄 Their system is always messing up. I swear they make it hard on purpose to discourage people from applying.

Ikr? It's like they're playing games with our lives. So sick of this bs.

Come on, guys. They're probably just overwhelmed. Cut them some slack.

I had a similar issue with mismatched addresses on my documents. What worked for me was getting a certified copy of my most recent utility bill or bank statement that matches one of the addresses, then calling EDD to explain the discrepancy. They were able to manually verify my identity once I provided the additional proof of residence. It took about 2 weeks to resolve, but it's definitely fixable. Make sure to have all your documents ready when you call - they'll want to see everything at once.
