SDI sent letter with wrong info on my claim - all my doctor details are correct. What now?
Has anyone else had issues with disability making mistakes on their claim? I just got a letter about my application, but all my doctor info is correct. I'm so confused and frustrated. What should I do now?

I found a way to solve disability claim errors quickly, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eT_bQiIvPw

Ugh, I feel you. The disability office is a mess rn. I had the same thing happen to me last month. They sent me a letter saying my doctor's info was wrong, but I triple-checked everything before submitting. It's like they're not even reading our applications 🤦♂️

•Yeah, eventually. Took like 3 weeks of calling and being on hold forever. But I finally got through to someone who actually looked at my file and fixed it.

•3 weeks?! That's insane. The system is so broken 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but honestly, after spending hours trying to get through, it was worth every penny. Saved me so much time and stress.

•Just used it yesterday. Can confirm it works. Got through in about 45 mins.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Don't panic. This is a common issue and can be resolved. 2. Document everything. Keep copies of all your submitted info and the letter they sent you. 3. Try calling the disability office. Be prepared for long wait times. 4. If you can't get through on the phone, write a detailed letter explaining the error and include copies of your correct doctor info. 5. Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They sometimes can help push things through. 6. If all else fails, you might need to file an appeal. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed right now, but keep pushing and you'll get it sorted out.

•This is great advice. Wish I had known all this when I was dealing with my claim issues last year.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes the letters they send out are automated and don't reflect the most up-to-date info in their system.

•I didn't even think of that! I'll go check right now. Thanks for the tip!

This happened to me too! Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was misreading certain doctor's office addresses. Might be worth asking if that's still an ongoing issue when you get ahold of someone.

I went through this exact same thing a few months ago! The letter they sent me said my doctor's NPI number was invalid, but when I checked with my doctor's office, everything was correct on their end. Turns out the EDD system had some kind of data entry error. I ended up having to fax them a copy of my doctor's current medical license and practice information directly. It took about 2 weeks to get sorted out, but they eventually corrected it and processed my claim. Don't let it stress you out too much - it's frustrating but definitely fixable!
