EDD won't send doctor document request - Need advice to expedite process
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with getting my doctor's papers processed for my claim. I need EDD to send a request to my doctor so I can go for a visit. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or what exactly I should say when I finally get through to an agent?

I found a way to solve doctor's papers processing delay, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4boVSWSe8zg

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been there and it's so frustrating. When you get through to an agent, make sure you have all your doctor's contact info ready. Be super clear that you need them to send the document request ASAP. Good luck!

•Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely have all the info ready. Did it take long for them to process your request once you got through?

•It took about a week for me, but I've heard it can vary. Just keep following up if you don't hear anything after a few days.

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get it, but think about how much time you waste trying to get through. For me, it was worth every penny.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your medical info, including your doctor's full name, address, phone number, and fax. 2. When you get an agent, clearly state that you need them to send a document request to your doctor. 3. Ask for a confirmation number or reference for the request. 4. Follow up with your doctor to make sure they received the request. 5. If you don't hear back within a week, call EDD again. Stay persistent and document everything. Good luck!

•This is great advice. I'd add: keep a log of every call you make, including date, time, and agent name if possible. It can help if you need to escalate later.

Have you tried faxing the request directly to your doctor's office? Sometimes that can speed things up. Just make sure to follow up with EDD to confirm they'll accept it that way.

•I hadn't thought of that! I'll give it a shot if I can't get through on the phone. Thanks for the suggestion!

Honestly, at this point, I'm convinced carrier pigeons would be more efficient than the EDD's system 🐦📬 Maybe we should suggest that for their next upgrade lol
