EDD form submitted a month ago, no funds received & return-to-work date missing from website. Help!
I submitted my claim form over a month ago and still haven't received any funds. The form included my doctor's expected return-to-work date, but it's not showing up on the EDD website. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing the delay?

I found a way to solve EDD claim delays and issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj9vQyKzSKk

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Submitted my form weeks ago and crickets from EDD. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying but can never get through 😤

•I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in the automated system. It's driving me crazy! 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit by the phone. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check that all info on your claim form is correct 2. Log into your EDD account and make sure your contact info is up to date 3. If the return-to-work date isn't showing, try uploading the doctor's note directly to your account 4. If it's been more than 14 business days, you can request a callback through the EDD website 5. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them If none of this works, you might need to escalate to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes cut through the red tape.

•Great advice! I'd add that sometimes faxing documents can be faster than uploading them online. Old school but effective!

The EDD system is such a joke. I swear they're stuck in the 90s with their technology. It's 2023, how hard is it to have a functional website and actually process claims on time? 🤡

•For real tho. My grandma could code a better system with her flip phone 🤣

•Hey now, don't insult the 90s like that. Even Windows 95 worked better than the EDD site!

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that wasn't registering doctor's notes properly. I had to physically mail in a copy of my note to get it sorted. Might be worth a shot if nothing else works.

•Oh wow, I hadn't thought of that. Did you just mail it to the general EDD address?

•Yep, just the main office. Make sure to include your claim number on everything you send!

•I heard they had budget cuts recently. Probably why everything's moving at a snail's pace 🐌

LPT: If you're having trouble with EDD, reach out to your state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help push things through faster.

•This! 👆 My rep's office got my issue resolved in like 2 days after I'd been waiting for months.

I'm dealing with something similar - submitted my disability claim 3 weeks ago and still waiting. One thing that helped me was creating a detailed timeline of everything I submitted and when. Also, try logging into your account at different times of day - sometimes the website shows different info depending on when their system updates. Have you tried checking if there are any pending documents they need from you? Sometimes they request additional info but the notification gets buried in their system.
