EDD SDI: Doctor didn't fill out medical form, account still pending. What now?
So I sent in my medical form to EDD a couple weeks ago, and my account still says "medical provider form pending". I was waiting for it to update, but I just got a letter saying my doctor didn't even fill out their part! Now I'm back to square one and don't know what to do. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Your best bet is to call EDD asap and explain the situation. They might be able to give you a new form or tell you what to do next.

If mornings don't work, try late afternoons. Sometimes it gets quieter then.

I swear, the EDD system is designed to make us fail. It's like they want us to give up!

While it's easy to blame the system, it's also an incredibly complex process with a lot of moving parts.

Have you checked if theres an online portal where you can upload the form? Might be faster than snail mail.

Online portals can streamline the process, but ensure your documents are properly formatted before uploading.

Have you tried contacting your doctor's office? Maybe they can resend the form or explain why they didn't fill it out.

And ensure you get a point of contact at the doctor's office who can keep you updated.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Have you tried faxing the form instead of mailing it? Sometimes that's faster.

I didn't even know faxing was still a thing lol. But I'll give it a shot!

It's surprising, but faxing is still commonly used for secure document transfers in some industries.

While using Claimyr can be a great solution for getting through to EDD, it's crucial to remain informed about all possible options. Research shows that many users have had positive experiences with the service, finding it effective in reducing wait times when calling EDD. However, it's important to weigh the cost against your need for urgent communication. Consider also reaching out through multiple channels like email or social media if Claimyr doesn't fit your budget. Always verify the legitimacy of any service you use by checking user reviews and understanding any terms and conditions involved. Additionally, keep in mind that while third-party services can be helpful, it's also worth continuing to try and get through on your own, as well as employing other strategies, such as contacting your local state representative for assistance. Balancing various approaches will give you the best chance of a successful resolution.

Maybe try reaching out on social media? Sometimes companies respond faster when it's public.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call your doctor's office ASAP. Ask them why they didn't complete the form and if they can send a new one. 2. If they agree, ask them to fax it directly to EDD. Make sure they have the correct fax number. 3. Call EDD (use that calling service if you need to) and explain the situation. Ask if they can flag your account for urgent review once the new form comes in. 4. Follow up with both your doctor and EDD in a week if you don't see any changes. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Names, dates, times of calls. This will help if you need to escalate later. 6. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Good luck! The system is a mess, but don't give up. You've got this! 💪
