Guys I'm so done with EDD. Been waiting 3 months for them to sort out an 'eligibility issue' and now I'm behind on rent. Anyone know if there's legal aid available for this stuff?
Have you considered looking into partial disability? Might be easier to qualify for if your condition has improved somewhat since November.
Just went thru this myself. Make sure you keep ALL your paperwork from your previous claim. They might ask for it and it's a pain to get copies. Also, don't forget to follow up regularly - squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that jazz. 💯
Have you tried reaching out to your local assemblyperson? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

I swear, dealing with DI is like playing a game where the rules keep changing and no one tells you 🤡 Good luck, OP!

•LOL so true. It's like they're playing 4D chess and we're stuck with checkers 😂

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about these issues? I've heard sometimes they can help push things through.

•Wait, really? How do you even find out who your local rep is?

•Just google '[your city] state representative'. Most have contact forms on their websites. Worth a shot!
