Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

OP, have you looked into any state or local programs that might be able to help while you're sorting out your SSN situation? Sometimes there are emergency assistance funds or non-profit orgs that can provide temporary support.
This whole system is a joke. They make it so hard for people who actually need help to get it. Meanwhile, I bet there are tons of people scamming the system successfully. SMH 🤦♀️
C'mon guys, it's not that bad. The rules are there to protect the system. Yeah, it sucks when you're caught in a tough spot, but overall it works for most people.

Quick question - have you checked their website? Sometimes they have options for late submissions online. Might save you a call if you're lucky!

Dont forget to factor in taxes! Your part-time job will withhold taxes, but unemployment benefits often dont. Might wanna set some $$ aside so you dont get hit with a big bill come tax time.
Has anyone had luck getting through to EDD lately? I've been trying to ask about partial benefits but can never reach a human 😫
$20? Seems steep but might be worth it at this point. How long did it take you to get through?
It took about 45 minutes for me, but I've heard others get through faster. Way better than spending all day on hold!
