Insurance company ignoring my paper claim form - no action after days. Help!
I'm so frustrated with my insurance company. I sent in my claim form on Saturday and there's been no action on it. I just need them to enter it into the system. My doctor still uses paper forms instead of submitting online, which seems to cause delays. This has happened to me multiple times before. I even called them and the rep said I'd be paid in 24-48 hours, but nothing's happened. It's been days now and still radio silence. Anyone else dealing with this kind of nonsense?

Ugh, I feel your pain. These insurance companies are the worst. I had a similar issue last month. Took them forever to process my claim. Have you tried calling them again? Sometimes you gotta be a squeaky wheel to get any grease 🙄

•Yeah, I'm thinking I might have to call again. Just hate sitting on hold for hours 😫

•Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. Usually shorter wait times!

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the endless hold times. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials through the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Why should we have to pay extra just to talk to our insurance company? 🤔

•I get it, but for me, time is money. I'd rather pay $20 than waste half my day on hold. Plus, the stress it saved me was worth it.

Have you tried faxing your claim form? Sometimes that gets processed faster than mailed forms. Also, see if your doctor can switch to electronic submissions. It's 2025 for crying out loud! 🤦♂️

This is why we need better healthcare reform. The whole system is broken. Insurance companies make billions while we struggle to get our claims processed. It's time for a change! 😤

Here's what you need to do to get your claim processed faster: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke with. 2. Follow up in writing. After each call, send an email summarizing what was discussed. 3. Escalate if necessary. Ask to speak with a supervisor if you're not getting results. 4. File a complaint with your state's insurance commissioner if the issue persists. 5. Consider using a claims assistance service or hiring a patient advocate. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them wear you down. Good luck!

•Woah, slow down there cowboy. Let's not go nuclear just yet. Try the other suggestions first before bringing lawyers into it.

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting on my claim for weeks now. These insurance companies are all the same - happy to take our money but drag their feet when it's time to pay out. Hang in there, OP. We're all in this together 💪
