EDD Continued Claim: No Online Updates After Doctor Submission - When to Expect Payment?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my continued claim. My doctor submitted the paperwork a few days ago, but I'm not seeing any updates online. I got my last payment the day after they submitted it, but now I'm wondering when I'll get my next payment. Anyone else dealing with this? How long does it usually take for them to process continued claims?

Ugh, I feel you. The EDD system is so slow sometimes. In my experience, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks for them to process continued claims. Hang in there!

ā¢1-2 weeks? That's if you're lucky. I've been waiting for over a month now. š¤”

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

ā¢Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

ā¢I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. Plus, if you're waiting on a big payment, it's worth it to get answers

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for way too long: ⢠Processing times vary, but 1-2 weeks is average for continued claims ⢠Online updates can lag behind actual processing ⢠If you don't see an update after 2 weeks, definitely call ⢠Keep all your paperwork and submission dates handy ⢠Set up text alerts if you haven't already ⢠Sometimes calling early in the morning (right when they open) can help Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

I swear the EDD is run by a bunch of sloths on vacation š¦„šļø Why does everything take so long?!

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every submission, every interaction. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with EDD.

ā¢That's a good idea. Do you just use a notebook or is there an app you recommend?

ā¢I just use the notes app on my phone. Quick and easy, and I always have it with me.

Anyone else feel like they need a degree in bureaucracy just to navigate the EDD system? šš¤
