EDD claim status stuck - last payment 4 weeks ago, doctor sent renewal but no update. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my claim status. I sent in my renewal through my doctor a while back, but when I call to check on it, they're telling me the last processed payment was four weeks ago. I'm worried my doctor might not have actually sent the renewal. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to confirm if the renewal was actually received?

Ugh, I've been there. It's so frustrating when you're not sure if your paperwork actually made it through. Have you tried calling your doctor's office to confirm they sent it? Sometimes they can give you a fax confirmation number or something.

•That's a good idea, I'll give them a call tomorrow. Fingers crossed they have some kind of proof they sent it 🤞

•Pro tip: always get a copy of what your doc sends in. I learned that the hard way 😅

I swear, dealing with these claims is like a full-time job. I've had similar issues and what worked for me was sending a follow-up fax myself. Just a simple letter asking for confirmation of receipt. Sometimes that lights a fire under them.

Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes the status updates there before they tell you over the phone. worth a shot!

•I did check online, but it's not showing any updates either. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

•Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul. We're just numbers to them.

•Have you guys tried contacting your local rep? Sometimes they can light a fire under the department's a**

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about an hour instead of spending all day calling.

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 😤

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get some answers. Time is money, you know?

Here's what I've learned from dealing with claims for years: 1. Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send in. 2. Follow up with your doctor's office to confirm they sent the renewal. 3. If possible, hand-deliver documents to a local office and get a receipt. 4. Keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke with. 5. Use the online portal to send messages - it creates a paper trail. 6. If you're not getting anywhere, contact your state representative or ombudsman. 7. Be persistent but polite. The person on the other end of the line isn't personally responsible for the system's failures. Remember, squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

I'm in the same boat, OP. It's been 6 weeks since my last payment and crickets from them. The anxiety is killing me. Hang in there!

•Thanks, you too! It's comforting to know I'm not alone, even if the situation sucks.
