Faxed docs to claim office a week ago, they say they didn't receive them. What now?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my claim. I faxed some documents to them a week ago, but when I called to check, they said they didn't receive them. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating because now I'm worried about delays in my claim. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Have you tried asking for a fax confirmation? Sometimes that helps prove you sent it.

I didn't even think about that! I'll definitely ask for one next time. Thanks for the tip!

Good idea! Also, make sure to keep the confirmation for your records. You never know when you might need it 👀

Same thing happened to me last month. I ended up having to resend everything. It's like they're trying to make this process as difficult as possible 🙄

Pro tip: Always, ALWAYS keep copies of everything you send them. I learned that the hard way.

This! 💯 I have a whole folder dedicated to claim stuff now. Better safe than sorry!

Have you tried sending it electronically instead? Sometimes that's more reliable than faxing.

I didn't know that was an option! I'll look into it, thanks!

Electronic submission is the way to go. Faster and you usually get a confirmation right away.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/MCgaMJPY8Us

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Totally worth the $20 imo.

Wait, we have to PAY to talk to someone now? That's ridiculous!

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not sitting on hold for hours was worth the cost.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with claims for years: 1. Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send. 2. Use certified mail or fax with confirmation for important documents. 3. Follow up within a week to make sure they received your docs. 4. Keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke with. 5. If possible, submit documents online and screenshot the confirmation. 6. Be persistent but polite. Sometimes you just get a bad rep, so try calling again. 7. If all else fails, contact your local representative's office. They can sometimes help push things through. Hope this helps! Dealing with bureaucracy is a pain, but stay organized and you'll get through it.

I swear, dealing with these claims is like playing a game where they keep changing the rules and don't tell you 🤡
