EDD Payment Delay After Submitting Docs - How Long is Normal?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my payment. I submitted some documents to my doctor a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure of the exact date. I know which week they were sent though. Has anyone else experienced delays with their payments after submitting documents? Any idea how long it usually takes for them to process everything?

I found a way to solve payment delays after submitting documents, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqoGqNVSI00

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting for my payment for what feels like forever. It's so frustrating when you can't even get a straight answer about processing times. Have you tried calling them?

I've tried calling but it's impossible to get through. I've been on hold for hours and then get disconnected. It's driving me crazy!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 30 minutes on hold that way. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

In my experience, it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for them to process documents. But with all the backlogs lately, who knows? 🤷‍♂️ Have you checked your online account for any updates?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but think about how much time you waste trying to get through. For me, time is money, and this saved me a ton of time.

Have you tried faxing your documents instead of relying on your doctor to send them? Sometimes that can speed things up. Just make sure to keep the fax confirmation as proof!

I didn't even think about faxing! Do you know if they have a specific fax number for documents?

0 coins

Yep! The fax number is usually on their website. Just make sure to include your claim number on every page you fax.

This whole system is a joke. I've been waiting 3 months for my payment. THREE MONTHS! And every time I call, I get a different answer. It's like they're playing hot potato with our lives. 😡

Preach! 🙌 It's like they forget we have bills to pay and families to feed. The stress is unreal.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

Here's what I've learned from my own payment delay saga: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when you submitted docs, who you talked to, and what they said. 2. Be persistent. Call regularly (use that Claimyr thing if you need to). 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If possible, submit documents multiple ways (online, fax, mail) to cover all bases. 5. Reach out to your local representative if it's been more than 6 weeks. 6. Join Facebook groups or forums for real-time updates from others in the same boat. 7. Don't give up! It's frustrating, but your payment will come eventually. Hang in there, OP. We're all in this together. 💪
