Anyone else notice that these issues always seem to pop up around the end of the month? Makes me wonder if it's a funding cycle thing...
Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes their social media team is more responsive than the phone lines. Worth a shot!
idk if this helps, but I had a similar issue and it turned out they had my address wrong by one number. Might be worth double-checking that with them
The whole system is broken af. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get basic info about our claims. Time for some serious reform imho
pro tip: if u can, try to find a specific person or department that handles these cases. general customer service might just bounce u around. look for terms like "deceased payee" or "estate services" on their website
Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops? The system is broken, man. Sorry you're dealing with this on top of losing your dad, OP. Sending virtual hugs 🫂
Preach! 🙌 The amount of bureaucracy involved in death is insane. It's like they want to make a difficult time even harder.
ikr? my cousin went thru something similar last year. took MONTHS to sort out. absolute 🤡 show
Hey OP, have you checked if there's any missing information on your claim? Sometimes they don't tell you if something's incomplete and it just sits there. Might be worth double-checking everything.
I heard they're super backlogged bc of all the covid claims still. doesn't make it any less frustrating tho. hang in there!

Guys, I found this awesome service that helps you get through to customer service lines without waiting on hold. It's called Claimyr and it basically calls for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when a real person picks up. It costs $20 but it's totally worth it if you're trying to reach someone urgently. Check it out: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•$20 seems steep for a phone call. Is it really worth it?

•For me it was. I had to deal with unemployment and was spending hours on hold. This got me through in like 30 minutes. Time is money, ya know?

If nothing else works, you could always screenshot the link and send the image. Not ideal, but it gets the job done in a pinch!
