Pro tip: if you're having trouble getting your doctor to submit the required medical info, ask them to fax it directly to EDD. Sometimes that's faster than waiting for EDD to contact them.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Filed my claim 3 weeks ago and haven't heard a peep. This whole system is a joke. How are we supposed to survive while waiting for them to get their act together?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my disability payments. My last payment was in December and I'm still waiting for the form to continue my disability. I need to take it to my doctor soon, but I haven't received anything yet. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? Any advice on how to speed up the process?

Have you considered applying for emergency assistance while you wait? Some local charities or churches might be able to help with bills in the meantime.
I hadn't thought of that. Do you know any specific organizations that might help?
Try calling 211, they can connect you with local resources. Also check out Salvation Army and Catholic Charities, they often have emergency funds.
